All good things come to an end.....except Junior Devo!!
Mountainview Cross - we came, we conquered and we got a little bit bruised and scratched. Out of the Jr Team the only man left standing was Adam! Adam only narrowly missed out on the Top Final heat by a crash on an icy corner and then went on to crush the B Final but was attacked by a gnarly ski pole that jumped out and grabbed his ski tip on the last sharp turn. It was a race well done Adam, we all know in our hearts that you outskiied your competitors by a long shot! These are the breaks...
Let's have some low key, fun times while we still have snow. We have often, in the past, had a spring skiing visit to Mount St Louis after March Break when the alpine skiing officially closes and this will also mean the Sr team will be back from Nationals.
This week!
Monday: Rest and recovery, ice and elevation (or for some of you antibiotics and inhalers)
Tuesday: 5-7pm Ski at Hardwood....I am offering a non-traditional time because I have to be there with Sierra anyways and we can ski in the light. I know many of you have other commitments but would love to see you out there
Wednesday: fun
Thursday: fun
Friday: fun
Saturday: Anyone interested in a Spring Fling of our own? I suggest we have an all-family ski at Hardwood as long as there is still snow. We can wear unicorn or other costumes, or not at all, we can have some fun relays and show our families some of the agility games we play. We can go for a fun ski on the nicely groomed trails. Almost no where else around is open for skiing.
Sunday:fun
Stay tuned for an update on when we would have our annual end of year Banquet, but it is looking like April 10th is a 'hold' date for now. It will be a potluck for the WHOLE team.
Eric, what is this about a spring camp? Lets make it happen! On snow? On rollerskis? Bikes? Maybe it can be the weekend we do the Mount St. Louis fun day.....
