Zone 4 is the go to site for most Cross Country races. It is easy to use and with repeated use it just gets easier. I have attached the link to the Yuletide Race poster with all the information.
Note: Midget boys/girls are 3k - Mini midget and pewee 2k - Atom <2k
For any race it is expected that you arrive a MINIMUM of an hour before the race start. The age categories are scattered so this means we may have 2 warm ups/pre-ski of the course - one for the younger gang and one for the older gang. It also means that our warm up is not the 'perfect' timing but I think there is a great benefit to warming up as a team. Ideally, we will warm up for 20min before a race together - but there are sometimes closed courses etc so stay tuned to specific instructions on the blog as we approach each race. If you are late for a warm-up you will warm up on your own with a set warm up routine...no problem. For all racers - you MUST be at the start line 10min BEFORE your start time as they begin to line you up and call your name.
For new parents, there is no particular parking or sitting areas, so the early bird gets the worm. If you are the first Team Hardwood athlete to arrive, snag a good table and wait for the rest to start moving in!

I am hoping to run some mock races on these coming Saturdays so that we can go through a typical race event (oh and get in some intensity).

If you click under 'Districts and Clubs' you will now find the full listing of SOD races that we will be entering.
Finally, if there are any athletes that are interested in Ocups - please see me. This would be for Midget age only and would not be recommended until you have some SOD races under your belt!!!
There is an O-Cup race on the 15th-16th in Ottawa (Nakkertok).
