Hi Everyone! Great ski session on Saturday. I am super impressed with the technique advances that all of you are making. I want to make a shout out to every one of you who fell over while skiing - this really means that you are testing the boundaries of getting that ski flat and trying hard to get your pinky toe planted. Lenny would be proud!
This week we are continuing to work on technique and working to increase our speed. I would like to continue to build strength all year so we can do some leg only and arm only workouts this week,
For the week
Monday: Rest and/or alternative sports
Tuesday: Practice at Hardwood 5pm-6:30 I would like to do this on classic skis - Warm up, hills, strength and a few intensities- but be prepared for anything as weather changes.
Wednesday - Intensity - Running or pole running (erging) 30-40 min including warm up cool down and either 10x1min sprints or 5x2min.
Thursday: Strength workout - lets make it intense - Can you try plyometrics to make it more 'intense'
https://www.stack.com/a/best-plyometric-exercises-for-athletes please do not do bar-bell squat jumps, just use some light weights in your hands (or a big can of soup)
Friday - Rest or Alternative SportsSaturday - 9:30 on skis out the door
Sunday- Long slow day - get out there and enjoy!
Friday: Rest or Alternate Sports - Cardio
Saturday: **9am START - to give us 2.5hrs before wax lesson at 11:30am - More Intensities!!! Burning matches until we have none left to burn. Bring all equipment and I will try to update you in RED on this blog before Saturday morning depending on weather.
Hi everyone - This Saturday we will to a Skate Time Trial as our intensity. We will treat it like a proper race and do a full warm up, ski of the course and timing. Come prepared to kick some butt!
Bring Classics just in case of course...you never know if there are tracks set maybe we can get out for a quick blast.

Reminder to parents to please register for the Yuletide Blast. It would also be great to get some parents out there racing! Highlands is a fun course and it is always great to share a story with your child! Ok so they can laugh at us!
