WOW - What a kickoff - The parking lot funds are being counted so I will report our grand total soon!
All funds go to fantastic wax under your skiis!!!
Here is a demonstration of 1 foot Roller-skiing by Emily from last year! Lets give this a go!!!
FROM JACK: Before I get to the training for this week I want to thank John Raikou and everyone else who helped with parking on Saturday. I appreciate how much work this is and how important it is for us to have these funds for our waxing and equipment. We raised over $1500 on Saturday and for the summer it was over $4500. Add to this the $1000 from the Fire Sale and another $500 from the Ski Swap.
Monday- off or fun sports with friends
Tuesday - Cardio 20' (can be warm up and cool down) and Strength 20'
Wednesday - Team Training - 5:30pm we will be rollerskiing - bring BRIGHT clothes. We will be on 6th line SOUTH of Bass lake if anyone is late. Done by 7. We need to capitalize on light!
Please note if the weather is IFFY we will have to switch to Pole running in raincoats. I would preferably use WhatsApp to change last minute plans so if we can all agree this is a good method, I will make sure to use it.
Thursday - Cardio 20' and Strength + Core 15'
Friday - off or fun sports with friends
Hi gang, my Auntie Bernice passed away late last week and I am heading to Quebec to be with my family for the weekend. She was a cool lady who was a synchronized swimmer! Cool eh!? Please meet Jack at the Mount St Louis parking lot for a super fun pole walking exercise!
- Saturday - ski walking intervals at Mount St Loius starting at 9 am. This is going to be a workout that will mimic race pacing with 6 intervals of around 5 minutes with gradually increased pace.

Sunday - Long Slow Day - distance hike or run or swim or bike or kayak or whatever you love!!! 1-2hrs
Remember, you can interchange days with other sports you are doing at school, in your community etc. Keep active in school sports! And I will send updates for local races, events or ideas for training. Pass any along to me that sound fun.... and lets sit down individually to look at a good schedule for you (journal).
I have updated the previous blog post to include the coaching information you needed from Jack or myself to get the CCC license. I recommend you use Jacks.
