September 14th to 20th - We're BACK!

Welcome to the Team Hardwood Junior and Mini Devo Blog for the Winter of 2020.  What an odd summer this has been for everyone with no camps, no summer races, and very few other events.  I know that we've missed many of the activities we've been used to, but hopefully we've all got to spend more quality time with our families.

We know that there is still a great deal of uncertainty as to what the Fall will hold, but we promise to lead by our example of staying safe while keeping physically fit and mentally healthy as we move towards winter.

Sarah and I are very excited to join the program as coaches for this year.  We promise to keep you all well-informed (and sufficiently entertained I hope) by our blog posts over this season.

Our program is growing this year thanks to many of the recruitment efforts put-forward by the Club this past Spring.  We are set to nearly DOUBLE the size of the Junior and Mini program as a result.

You should receive an email shortly with some important information for the start of the program as well as a request to attend a mandatory video call to discuss our COVID-19 protocols.

We'll also include our contact information in the email and please feel free to reach out to either Sarah or me over the course of the season should you have any questions or any concerns whatsoever.

To Juniors in the program, we're so excited to see everyone out for our first practice of the season at Hardwood next Saturday, Sept 19th starting at 9:30AM.  Arrive by 9:15AM, bring your energy, bring your enthusiasm, and (hopefully) bring some sunshine too;)

We will go for a run at Hardwood so that you can remember all the trails as they look a bit different than when we were all together last in March.  Just remember that ski season could be just three (3) months away!

Mini's - Your first practice will be Saturday, Oct 10th, but be sure to keep active until then!

To the parents, I hope you take advantage of the opportunities to get out into the forests while the kids practice - enjoy yourselves!

See you on the trails,

Jason & Sarah Vurma
