What we do need to be mindful of is NOT congregating when we are out of the trails. I know that my Skittles rewards on Sunday were a contributing factor to this, but we need to make sure that we are keeping our distance from others. This is important both when we are skiing, as well as when we are taking a break at the side of the trail.
Let's do better this week upcoming - I know we all can!
Technique Videos

Wednesday - Strength Training on Zoom
Please join between 5:15PM and 5:25PM so that we can start at 5:30PM
https://us02web.zoom.us/j/5602405075 or use meeting ID: 560 240 5075
BEFORE you start the workout, please make sure of the following:
- Make sure you have a safe place to perform basic bodyweight exercises
- Look for an open area 6ft x 8ft on a soft floor (e.g. carpet or mats) that isn't slippery
- Make sure you work with your parents to test your computer set-up to you can see, and be seen, as well as hear, and be heard
- Make sure you have proper athletic clothing and a water bottle
DURING the workout, please have a strong commitment to:
- Listen to ALL the instructions
- Try to do ALL the exercises with excellent form
- Put forth a consistent effort throughout the ENTIRE workout
Parents are welcomed and encouraged to join in as all of these exercises will help your skiing too! Now that we have a week to get familiar with the exercises, we'll move at a bit more consistent pace.
If you were NOT at last week's session, please be sure you review the exercises HERE beforehand.
Saturday - SKATE
Start with some no poles skiing to work on your balance and your glide using the drills from past videos. We will stay closer to the Chalet and have a route set-out to work-on both climbing efforts as well as your descending skills through the Sour Patch!
Sunday - CLASSIC
We are going to challenge you to several new timed "Sprint" sections on Sochi - see below:
NOTE - I will be sending an email with more detailed instructions, as well as waxing suggestions, on Saturday Night:
- Bottom of Short and Sassy to the Posts
- From the Berlin Wall cut-through to Janet's Gateway
- Short Climb away from the Posts (Olympic Side)
- Two Short Climbs between the Posts and Terminator
- Little Dipper and Wiggley Climbs (same as before)
Ski easy and smooth between sections so that you can ski FAST on the timed sections!
