Week of Dec 9th - Unsettled Weather

That Time of Year...

It's "that" time of year when we're still caught somewhere between Fall and Winter.

Winter won this past weekend with many folks out enjoying their first big day on snow.  It sure feels good to get back gliding down the trails.

Sadly, over the next 24 hours, fall will be making an unwanted comeback, so Hardwood will be keeping its trails CLOSED until things cool down again on Thursday.

That means this week's practices will be as follows

Tuesday - Strength Training on Zoom

Please join us between 5:20PM and 5:25PM so that we can start at 5:30PM.

Everyone's been doing very well these past few weeks and will work through some more new exercises this week.

https://us02web.zoom.us/j/5602405075 or use meeting ID: 560 240 5075

BEFORE you start the workout, please make sure of the following:
  • Make sure you have a safe place to perform basic bodyweight exercises
  • Look for an open area 6ft x 8ft on a soft floor (e.g. carpet or mats) that isn't slippery
  • Make sure you work with your parents to test your computer set-up so you can see and be seen, as well as hear and be heard
  • Make sure you have proper athletic clothing and a water bottle
DURING the workout, please have a strong commitment to:
  • Listen to ALL the instructions
  • Try to do ALL the exercises with excellent form
  • Put forth a consistent effort throughout the ENTIRE workout
PARENTS - YOU are encouraged to join in as ALL of these exercises will help YOUR skiing too!

Please be sure you review some of the exercises we will be doing HERE beforehand.

Saturday – Skiing Somewhere

As with last week, we will stay flexible and see how the conditions, both locally and regionally, develop and we'll make a call by Friday around Noon as to our plans for the weekend.

It's very likely that Hardwood will be able to reopen once it cools back down.  Having said that, that might be with a reduced number of trails - stay tuned!

Practice will start at our normal 9:30AM time and we will determine based on conditions whether we can go for the full 2hrs.
