Nov 5- 11 Scavenger Hunt and Ski Erg Challenge

Flashback to last weekend when it snowed - here are a couple of shots of Liam and Sully getting some snow underfoot!  I also saw a picture of Adam doing a waterski...but was not able to load it on here... NICE!

I am so very impressed with your skill and performance on Saturday. Each of you has shown so much improvement in your double pole, one skate and offset. Great work! Also, a super amazing weekend for your duathlon. What a great practice for the upcoming 1000m challenge on world erg day!
I would like to start moving into more intensity workouts, sprints, races etc  and extend the distance you can sprint to up to 3km which is where you should mostly be racing. The duathlon run course was only 1km long, so imagine that 3 times.  The only way to make sprinting easier, is to practice sprinting!! YaY!
There seems to be more and more snow falling lately just making us crave more - and its coming!!!

Parents and Athletes, please read:
Monday: Rest or alternate sports
Tuesday: 5-7 pm Trail Run/Striding + Palace Workout (last chance to practice the Erg before the challenge)
Wednesday: Run or rollerski minimum 30 minutes with intensities (or hills). STRETCH.
Thursday: Warm-up, STRENGTH, cooldown. Try to add a few core blast activities including balance moves. STRETCH.
Friday: Rest or alternate sport. Now that you can play ultimate frisbee, you can play at home!
Saturday: 9:30am 1000m Sprint races and workout on Ergs for World Erg Day. We will do a warm up and then get into the sprints. This will not take very long. Then we have the INFAMOUS scavenger hunt to complete. Get ready for some fun activities and challenges to complete all around the hills of Hardwood. We need a few people with phones that can send a picture to me....
