Week of March 7th - Nearing the Finish Line

 


What a Great Weekend of Racing!

ALL Team Hardwood skiers really showed their stuff this weekend at both the Fischer Loppet as well as at the Ontario Cup at Lakefield.

For many skiers, this was their first "BIG" race ever, so congrats to everyone on a job well done.

Skiers - Thank your parents will bringing you this weekend and for ALL the support they've given you this past season.  I'll be asking parents which skiers read this and followed through!

There are several members of the Junior Team that are traveling up to Sault St. Marie this weekend for Ontario Youth Champs - best of luck to all of those racing this weekend.

Wednesday - Classic on  Crowns/Skins

Please arrive at The Chalet between 5:20PM and 5:25PM so that we can get started at 5:30PM.

We're all spent quite a bit of time on Skate the past number of practices, but it should be great conditions on Wednesday Night to practice climbing on Classic Skis - both steep and gradual hills.

Saturday and Sunday

For those that are not making the trip to SSM, we encourage you to get out for a ski this weekend.  Hardwood got some fresh snow today, so conditions should return to near mid-winter conditions by the weekend.

Parents - We encourage you to use the group WhatsApp group if you'd like to connect with any other families

Final Group Ski

We will look at the weekend of March 19th & 20th as well as the weekend of March 26th & 27th to see if there is an opportunity for an additional group ski before the end of the season.

If the weather cooperates, we would love to be able to get out for a "Crust" ski through the forest like we did at the end of last year.
