Week of Dec 11th - Come Back Snow!

Don't Cry Guy, the Snow will Return

With the melt this past weekend and the lack of sufficient snow at HSB as we write this, we will return Zoom Strength this Tuesday.

We'll continue to watch the forecast and keep you up-to-date should things change positively in terms of snow.

As for Saturday, registration for the Yuletide Blast has opened HERE, but we would recommend waiting another day or so to see how much snow Highlands receives.

In the meantime, be sure to clean and reapply glide wax to any skis used over the past two (2) weeks so they are ready to go when the snow returns.

Tuesday - Strength Training on Zoom

Please join us between 5:20PM and 5:25PM so that we can start at 5:30PM.

https://us02web.zoom.us/j/5602405075 or use meeting ID: 560 240 5075

BEFORE you start the workout, please make sure of the following:
  • Make sure you have a safe place to perform basic bodyweight exercises
  • Look for an open area 6ft x 8ft on a soft floor (e.g. carpet or mats) that isn't slippery
  • Make sure you work with your parents to test your computer set-up so you can see and be seen, as well as hear and be heard
  • Make sure you have proper athletic clothing and a water bottle

DURING the workout, please have a strong commitment to:
  • Listen to ALL the instructions
  • Try to do ALL the exercises with excellent form
  • Put forth a consistent effort throughout the ENTIRE workout
PARENTS - YOU are encouraged to join in as ALL of these exercises will help YOUR skiing too!

Please be sure you review some of the exercises we will be doing HERE beforehand.

Saturday – Yuletide Blast at Highland Nordic - Still TBD

We have our fingers crossed that Highlands Nordic receives enough snow for the race to proceed.

You can view the Race Notice HERE to get a sense of the format of the day.  You'll see many references to "2022" in the notice as I suspect that they've simply updated the "day" as they're still not 100% certain about the prospects for the event right now.

As noted, hold off a bit on registering until we see what sort of snow Highlands gets via their Trail Conditions HERE.

We'll look to make a final call on Thursday as to what our plans will be for Saturday.
