Week of Jan 22 - Race Season Finally Begins!

What a Team!

Congrats to everyone for a great weekend of skiing.  You have all improved so much over this year and all of the coaches are excited to see what you can do at the remaining events this winter!

With the great snow we have now, we want to take advantage of it to work on improving our technique each time we ski.

This will also give those of you who are newer to Classic on waxable skis the opportunity to become more comfortable and learn to "feel" how to get that type of ski to kick.

We will also be sending out a note about the Racing Schedule and some of the other upcoming Paraffin Series (aka - SOD) races.

Tuesday - Classic at HSB

Building on the racing - which is the BEST possible teacher - from this past Sunday and preparing for this coming Sunday, we will Classic Ski tomorrow night at HSB

Arrive at The Chalet by 1720 and meet at the Map Board by 1730.

Headlamps are required and the practice will run until 1900

NOTE - We will send out recommendations for grip wax tomorrow.  Right now it's looking like Violet or Blue hardwax.

Saturday – More Classic at HSB

Please arrive at 0920 and meet at the Map Board just outside the Chalet.

We will spend 20-30min on the Teaching Flats playing some games before heading out for a Trail Ski.  We will work on developing our technique in double pole.  We'll send-out a few videos to watch this week as well.

Practice will run until 1130.

Sunday – Midland Loppet

We will be sending out more information about the event via email.  For those attending, please read the Race Notice HERE.

Grip Waxing at the Midland event will be entirely supported by Jr. Parents.  If space permits, we will bring the Wax Trailer.

We will send-out a note later in the week to reiterate how we'd like skis to be brought to the event to make the grip waxing process ease for those parents that are helping.
