Nov 9 - 15

Hi All

Thanks for coming out on Saturday and doing an awesome job on the ski erg, it was very encouraging and everyone worked hard in both the 1km and the sprints.

Track your Kilometers

We are starting to count Kilometers.  We will keep track of the number of kilometers that everyone does from November 1 - March 30.  You will move your skier around the 250 KM course.  You will get a sticker at 50, 100, 200 and 250 KM.  The person who does the most KM will get be honored in this years banquet with the "Most KM award".


How does it work
The KM tracking sheet has to be filled in and signed off by parents and submitted to the Jr coaches (available in documents section on website).
For every KM you ski you get 1 KM
For every KM you swim, run, bike, roller ski you get 1 KM
For every 5min of cardio or strength activity you get 1 KM
For every 10 min of basketball, soccer or hockey you get 1 KM



Training This Week


Toronto Training
Wednesday from 6-8pm Riverdale  Intensity and strength please bring running shoes. clothes for outside and a headlamp


Barrie Training

Wednesday from 5-7pm Hardwood  Ski walking and erg  please bring running shoes. clothes for outside and a headlamp

Saturday Hardwood 12 noon - wax clinic 

This wax clinic is for anyone who would like to help in the wax room this winter, we are going to set-up a mock wax room and assign duties and you will wax and prep the skis just like a classic race.

Saturday 1-4pm Junior session


Roller ski technique - we are going to go for a roller ski and work on one skate technique please bring your roller skis and gear

Obstacle challenge - we are going to set-up an obstacle course around Hardwood that you have to try to complete

Monday - aim to be active for 30 min, play, run, bike have fun

Friday - aim to be active for 30 min, play, run, bike have fun
