Nov 12-19th CTV Stars




Hi gang!  What a weekend!!!   November 11th is the earliest I think I have ever skied.  You are actually famous because of it.... if you have not already seen it - check it out:

I am not sure what happened to all of the footage she must have shot of random snowballs, crashes and slip ups - but there are some famous feet in this video!!!
 
I also want to let you know that did capture over 30 entries to the SkiErg World Erg Day - so we will be entered to win a brand new Ski Erg. Thanks Concept2.   What a day!  I am so glad you got to experience a King's Court Sprint as it can be confusing on race day on snow. Now you have some experience racing in this style. You really gave it your all, and you crushed it!
 
Ok this week I think we need to continue on with intensities, and with ski specific workouts.  My hope is to use the short skis on Wednesday night so bring boots and poles....BUT that is a bit of a long shot if it rains, so bring walking poles too.
 
Monday: Rest or alternate sports
Tuesday: Rollerski/run with pick ups -5 pick ups -for 2min each (10min warm up 10min cool down)
Wednesday: HOPEFULLY short ski adventure "In Search of Snow" - or Pole walking
Thursday: Strength - make sure you cover CORE and BALANCE moves we have seen recently. Google 'standing yoga moves'  for Tree pose, Balancing Stick, Eagle, Dancer...these are great poses that get you to practice standing on one foot (and you can imaging being on one ski). Try them after several burpees to see if your balance is the same with a high heart rate....JUST DO IT!
Friday: Rest or alternate sports
Saturday: Pole walking/striding and uphill intervals "Burning matches".  Bring walking poles.
** BRING CLASSIC SKIS**  In preparation for our waxing lessons, we need to mark your kick zones, so please bring in your classic skis so we can do this on the board in the chalet.
Sunday: Long slow Day.  Remember this day is about adding matches to your match book. The more matches you have, the more times you can burn one in a race.
