Hi Everyone! What a week of weather! Almost as cold as last year...but not quite....
Monday - Rest - you earned if after some fine skiing on Sunday in crazy conditions
Tuesday - Try to get out on skis or keep conditioning with running and or skiing or snowshoeing.
Warm air is coming!
Warm air is coming!
Wednesday - Today is a great STRENGTH day. Always include core in this workout.
Thursday - Practice will be at 5:30pm-7:30pm Meet me in the Chalet.
Lets do skate technique. I will be arriving at 5pm with Sr skiers and just be warming up or skiing around the chalet. Let's get practice started at 5:30 SHARP if possible. Please bring headlamps to every evening ski so that we can maximize our training.
Friday - Rest or Alternative activity. Stretch and maybe even get some wax on those skis!
Saturday 26th Mono - looking like it is moving to Highlands - confirming by 6pm Thursday the 24th! If timing sticks to original plan then races begin at 10 - warm up at 9am. I guess if it is at Highlands we can look at it as a warm up for Easterns!
Sunday 27th Seeing as the waves begin at 10:30 we can do a little warm up at 9:30am - which means you need to be at the site a little sooner. It is a classic race so lets chat wax. It will be cold (-14) so that is good - and Jack is bringing the wax trailer. Shawn are there any prep suggestions you would like to give out - perhaps via Whats' App?
• Bibs must be picked up before 9:30 AM
• Mass starts begin at 10:30 AM with waves going out at 3 minute intervals.
On-line registration closes at 11:59 pm, Thursday, January 24, 2019. Please note that you can NOT register on race day. Everyone must register before Thursday, Jan 24.
